New Challenge at Fussy or Fancy

Good morning everyone,

I hope you have all had a good week and for those of you affected by storm Georgina were unharmed.

Today I am sharing a card I made for the new challenge at Fussy and Fancy. Our lovely Annie is hosting this challenge for the next two weeks and has chosen the theme:

Fussy and Fancy

I have colorued up a old, but firm favourite Maggie of mine called Tilda Loves Flowers and painted her with distress ink reinkers.

The heart die peeping out from the top left hand corner is a Joy Crafts die. I stamped the birthday banner onto co-ordinating paper and inked it with a Memento grey stamp pad. The banner is from a set of Whimsy Bold Banners stamps.

The gorgeous fir branch is also a Joy Crafts die which has also been cut in coordinating paper. The flowers, heart charm, pearl gems, pink bon bon and ribbon are from my own crafty stash.

The lace, and ivory pearl string are from the Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
Dress and Shoes: Hickory Smoke, Black Soot
Flowers: Victorian Velvet, Bundled Sage

The winner of the challenge will join us as a guest designer in an upcoming challenge.

If you have a spare moment, pop over and have a peep at my teamies gorgeous creations.

I'm sending a big crafty wave to my new followers, thank you for following me.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Thank you for popping in.

Dressed Up

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well and staying warm.

I can't believe it has been over a week since I last posted, time just flies by.

I thought I would pop in and share a card I made recently with a Lili of the Valley stamp called 'Dressed Up'.

It is such a  sweet image and lovely to colour too.

The papers are by Maja, you can't quite make it out in the photo, but they are gorgeous blue roses on a cream background. I have used a Martha Stewart punch and glued it to the paper that is at a jaunty angle and popped on some pearl gems.

I stamped the bear onto Artisitico extra white watercolour paper with a timber brown stazon ink pad,  cut the shape with a Polkadoodles die and added some ivory pearl string.

The leaves have been cut in green and cream card and a with a Joy Crafts die and the pretty flowers along the bottom of the card have also been cut from a Joy Crafts die.

Some of the flowers, lace (it doesn't seem to be in stock at the moment, but there is lots to choose from), ivory pearl trim, ivory pearl string and the pearl and diamante embellishment in the centre of the bow are from the  Ribbon Girl

DI list:
Bear: Frayed Burlap, Walnut Stain
Dress: Weathered Wood
Flowers: Worn Lipstick
Grass & Leaves: Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters

That's all from me today!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Thank you for popping in.

I hope you have had a good week. Its been a  bit gloomy here in the south this week although we were lucky enough to see some sunshine on Wednesday.

I thought I would pop in to share a card I made a little while ago which I forgot to share.

This is an older Maggie called 'Tilda with Winter Flowers' which I have coloured up with DI reinkers.

I stamped her onto Artistico extra white water colour paper with a timber brown Stazon ink pad. and cut the shape with a Spellbinders Nestabilities Elegant Ovals die finishing off with some pearl string around the outside.

I've cut a few Joy Crafts dies in coordinating papers, and the swirl is a Magnolia Doohickey die links where possible are at the bottom of this post.

The decorative pin was a gift from a crafty friend , the flowers, pearl trim, pearl rose, ribbon and lace are from my own crafty stash.

The smaller pearl string and the pearl cluster is from the Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Gathered Twigs, Antique Linen, Black Soot
Cardigan, Pocket, Hair Bows, and Shoes: Victorian Velvet

New Challenge Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia

Hi everyone,

Happy Sunday to you, I hope you are all well and had a good week. It is a bit colder here today, but thankfully the strong winds have now subsided.

Our first challenge of the 2018 begins at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia today and we have a popular challenge of:

Anything Goes

Before I get onto my card we are looking for a couple of new teamies to join our Mid-way team, so if you are a Maggie lover and would like to join a friendly family, there are two ways you can enter:

Put DT after your name when you link up your card OR email either Jay or myself (our addresses are in the side bar) including a link to your blog.

All we ask is that you make a card once a month following the set theme, comment on the challenge entries (you will be given a number)  and if possible share on Facebook, Instagram etc.

I have coloured up London Tilda, but omitted the phone box die that comes with it. I have coloured her with DI reinkers.

The trees in the background have been drawn by myself - yep no stamp, I am quite pleased with how they have turned out.  I used a mixture of watercolour paints and DI reinkers to colour the background scene.

To make the shape of the card, I have cut a create-abilities rectangle die in white card and then cut my chosen papers which are Marja and distressed the edges using a paper distresser tool.

I also cut two Joy Crafts dies,  Border Edge and Scalloped Edged Die with Flowers and finished off with some pearl gems.

The pink lace is from my crafty stash.

The flowers are a mixture from the Ribbon Girl and again my own stash. The pearl string is also from the Ribbon Girl.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen
Coat: Weathered Wood, Black Soot
Umbrella and Boots: Victorian Velvet, Black Soot
Trees: Gathered Twigs, Black Soot

Background - mixture of watercolour paints.

Our wonderful sponsor for the next four weeks is

Wild Orchid Crafts

You could win a £20 voucher to spend in their on line store.

So that is all from me for today, if you have a chance pop over and take a peep at what my teamies have made for the challenge, they are gorgeous.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Thank you for popping in.

Happy New Year! Digi Doodles Studios GD Card - Isabella

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year, I hope it will be a happy, healthy and creative one!

Did you all have a good Christmas?  Mine was the best I have had in years. We spent it with our youngest son and his girlfriend in Wiltshire and I couldn't have asked for a better time. Then on Boxing day we headed to our eldest sons' and had another fabulous day.

I must have been a very good girl last year as Santa brought me everything I could have wished for and more including a sewing machine so I can now stitch my papers:)

Anyway enough of my waffling as today I am sharing my GD card for Digi Doodles Studios

I have made a shaker card for a change. The cute image is called Isabella. I have coloured her with distress ink reinkers and added some stickles star dust to her wings.

A good crafty friend of mine made me a 12 days of Christmas advent, each day I opened up a crafty package and in one of the packages were some beautiful purple and blue heart gems which I thought would be perfect for the shaker element of this card.

The papers are from the the Hobby House.

The die cut peeping out of the top of the card and the gorgeous flourish have been cut from Joy Craft dies.

The little heart shaped bottled has been filled with pink glitter.

The flowers, pearl string, ribbon, heart embellishment and lace are a mixture from my own crafty stash and the Ribbon Girl I have put the links to the products that I can at the bottom of this post.

DI list:
Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered rose, Worn Lipstick
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
Dress: Victorian Velvet, Aged Mahogany, Black Soot
Wings: Victorian Velvet, Weathered Wood
Sock and Flowers: Aged Mahogany, Victorian Velvet, Milled Lavender, Dusty Concord,  Bundled Sage, Black Soot

Before I go, I just wanted to let you know that there is now a Digi Doodles Studios challenge underway which you can find here. The theme will always be 'Anything Goes'. 'There will be two winners, the first winner must have entered using a Digi Doodle Studio Image and will receive a prize of two digi images from the shop. The second winner will have entered using any image and will receive a prize of one digi image from the shop.

First, Second and Third Places are picked by the DT and these will be announced at the start of the New Challenge post.

That's all from me for now, but I will be back later this afternoon.

Thank you for popping in.
